Gracie-Rose

Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis)

6 Years Old

Wing Injury

Gracie-Rose is a Red-tailed Hawk, who was hit by a car in North Carolina. During her rehabilitation, Gracie had to have a rod put in her injured wing making it difficult for her to fly. Gracie can only fly a few feet before ultimately falling to the ground. Gracie is very healthy and held at an average weight for a female Red-tailed Hawk. We mimic her diet in the wild. She enjoys meal time!

Gracie came to us from Cape Fear Raptor Center.
